My Reiki 1 attunement, over 20 years ago remains one of the most powerful spiritual experiences of my life. It catalyzed a lifetime of opening, healing and exponential growth and transformation. And as happens sometimes, I am again feeling called to teach this wonderful healing modality. Our world is in need of deep healing and love, and this can be done through evolving ourselves on behalf of All.
This introductory class to Reiki will focus on self-healing. It will include your attunement to the Reiki flow of energy and begin your journey as a Reiki practitioner. We will also practice intuitive sensing and perceiving of energy.
Relevant to this Reiki class, I will share that I became a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui lineage in 1996 and have been practicing and teaching in spurts over the years. I am a spiritual psychologist, an educator, and a certified teacher of Realization Process.
A special note about this class: This will be a combined classroom, where you will be learning Reiki side by side with those learning Reiki level 2. We use a team-teaching model that allows us to do break-outs for level-specific teachings.

Reiki Level 3 Master Class with Mara Evenstar

This 8 hour class will be held over 3 sessions. Two sessions will be held on zoom.
An in-person practicum class will be held Saturday Feb 26 from 1-5pm in the Ann Arbor / Ypsi area.
You must attend all three sessions for certification.
Reiki 3 Master level class is focused on practice and deepening into your own nuanced dance with energy work and honing your intuition. There is also focus on your psycho-spiritual development - helping you get out of the way and creating a clearer channel. NOTE: This class does NOT include training on the teaching of Reiki to others and giving of attunements. (In my program, Reiki Master / Teacher is taught on a one-on-one basis using a student-teaching model.)
Relevant to this Reiki class, I will share that I became a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui lineage in 1996 and have been practicing and teaching in spurts over the years. A key part of growing and evolving as a person is the ability to become aware of and identify patterns of thought, emotional triggering, and behaviors that get in the way of becoming our fullest selves. Doing shadow work is an integral part of the self-development process. In this course, the shadow refers to any hidden, unconscious, and/or rejected parts of ourselves – that includes our gifts! Shadow work is the conscious effort to “know thyself” as fully as possible. When we “free” our shadows, we release the need to repress them or project them out onto the world and others – resulting in a freer, more authentic and empowered life. The seven main energy centers of the chakra system will provide a fertile ground for our exploration. You do not need to be literate in shadow work or the chakra system to benefit from this course, just a willingness to practice my 3C’s (cultivating compassionate curiosity).
I’ve heard several people say they are aware of the importance of shadow work, but really don’t know where to start or how to do it methodically. And doing shadow work on one’s own without a mirror can result in feelings of isolation and overwhelm -- or just a continuation of sliding right past those blind spots. Ultimately, no one can do your shadow work for you. But there is great value in having loving allies holding the space for you, holding the mirror for you, and holding high intentions for the next best version of you that is trying to be born.
In this intimate class of only 6 participants, we will be using a combination of sacred play, witnessing circle, contemplation, reflection and ritual to bring the shadow aspects of our seven main energy centers into the light for acceptance, integration and healing.
