Workshops with Alejandra M. Foerg
Alejandra Margarita Foerg, grew up on the border of Nogales, Arizona and Mexico. Healing and the well being of her fellow brothers and sisters, mother earth, our ancestors, and all living beings is a path she is committed to. This calling through dreams and through inheriting her Abuelita Mini's and her mother's gifts of intuition, clairvoyance, and seeing in dreams when she was a child. After having her son almost three years ago, Alejandra experienced postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety and felt called to become a birth and postpartum doula. She honors birthing people and their families by offering them loving care during birth and the sacred and tender forty day period after birthing known, in Mexico, as the Cuarentena. Her hopes are to help in decolonizing birth and the postpartum period by offering traditional care, honoring the birthing person's wishes, and an open heart. She is so grateful to honor her Mexican ancestors by practicing and continuing to learn the healing art of Curanderismo and integrating other healing modalities with the passion to help heal intergenerational trauma and to help guide others back to themselves. She offers birth and postpartum doula services, limpias ( traditional cleanses with plants, resins, and flower and plant waters), grounding, platicas (heart-to-heart talking and listening), and a sense of humor. Laughter is her favorite medicine.
